High-tech diagnostic examinations using the total body scan technique

Total body scanning is an ultra-advanced cancer prevention method. This comprehensive health assessment technique enables us to offer early tumour detection examinations in conjunction with tumour screening

Total body scanning also includes the head, thus allowing for the early detection of any pathological changes in the brain, as well as the neck, chest cavity, and abdominal organs such as the liver and kidneys. In the interest of detecting cancer at an optimally early stage, during the total body scan we also check the pelvic organs such as the bladder and prostate, as well as the seminal vesicles, uterus, and ovaries.

In view of the high incidence of back pain in today's society, spinal screening is a particularly important part of a preventive health programme. Using targeted measurements of the spine, we are able to detect disc abnormalities synchronously.

Examinations and assessments of the joints, muscles and other soft tissues are included in the total body scan procedure. Total body scans have been made possible by a series of technological advances, thus allowing us to visualise the entire body from inside using high-tech magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

The total body scan is an ideal screening method for preventive care as it provides you with a reliable status report on your current health. This preventive procedure is extremely non-invasive as it is radiation-free. The attending physician will discuss the examination with you in detail beforehand so as to allow for the identification of any familial predisposition or existing disorder. In addition to the total body scan, we can also perform additional targeted measurements and apply them to your specific case.

When is a total body scan indicated?

  • For individuals who wish to detect cancer at an early stage for prophylactic reasons
  • Screening for specific disorders in patients with a familial predisposition
  • Determining the causes of bone, joint or muscle problems
  • Detecting tumours whose cause is unclear
  • Cancer therapy
  • Follow-up examinations
